Know the Facts about Child Sexual Abuse
The Problem
Nearly 1 in 10 children are sexually abused before they turn 18. And 90% of the time a child is abused by someone in their circle of trust.
The Effects
Children who are sexually abused are at significantly greater risk for anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, alcoholism, violent behaviors, and suicide.

When a victim of sexual abuse is given proper treatment in their youth, their chances of going on to live a healthy and stable life increases immensely.

ATTENTION: For any child who is currently in danger of serious injury, or is suspected to be currently in danger of serious injury, please contact child protection services at 1-855-323-3237 for immediate assistance, or call law enforcement at 911.
Utah law requires any person who has reason to believe that a child has been subjected to abuse, neglect, or dependency to immediately notify the nearest office of Child and Family Services, a peace officer, or a law enforcement agency. Abuse, neglect, or dependency of a child can be physical, emotional, or sexual.
